Residents across Parkdale–High Park want safer streets, parks and transit. They want to know their children can get home safely from school.
I’ll push for focused community policing, better coordination with crisis response teams and improved lighting around transit stops. We can support people in crisis while making community safety a priority.
Advocate for a stronger community policing presence in areas where residents are experiencing persistent safety concerns.
Bring community policing, trained crisis responders and social services together so people receive appropriate help when incidents occur.
Push for improved lighting around transit stops, pedestrian routes and public spaces where visibility and safety are concerns.
Work to keep streets, parks, transit and commercial areas safe, accessible and welcoming for residents of all ages.
Everyone deserves to feel safe walking through their neighbourhood, waiting for transit, visiting a park or travelling home from school.
While citywide crime statistics can tell us something about overall trends, they don’t always capture the concerns residents experience in their daily lives. Both deserve attention.
I believe we need practical, coordinated responses that address immediate safety concerns while connecting people experiencing mental-health challenges, addiction or homelessness with appropriate support.
That means working with community policing, trained crisis responders, social-service providers, the TTC and City departments to identify concerns, improve coordination and deliver meaningful improvements.
We can be compassionate toward people in crisis while ensuring our neighbourhoods are safe and welcoming for everyone.
Community safety concerns shouldn’t disappear into a system without clear answers.
As your City Councillor, I’ll establish clear standards for responding to residents, work with the appropriate agencies to address recurring neighbourhood concerns, and provide more transparent communication about actions being taken.
Whether the issue involves a transit stop, local park, commercial street or school route, residents deserve to know who is responsible and what happens next.
