MY PRIORITIES

Parkdale–High Park is a remarkable community. As I listen to residents across Ward 4, I hear concerns about housing, safety, congestion, transit, and everyday city services. I believe the best solutions come from bringing people together and focusing on results.

A SEAT AT THE TABLE

NEIGHBOURHOOD ADVISORY TABLE

A strong community starts with residents having a seat at the table. That is why I will establish a Neighbourhood Advisory Table to help identify emerging issues, bring together diverse perspectives, shape practical community-driven solutions, and champion community priorities at City Hall. This ongoing dialogue with residents will help guide my work.

  • Support good planning that welcomes new neighbours while maintaining neighbourhood character and livability.

  • Protect existing rental housing and Toronto's rental replacement rules.
  • Strengthen enforcement against landlords who repeatedly fail to maintain safe and livable buildings.
  • Advocate across governments for sustainable funding so housing and community partners can deliver the supports residents need.
  • Ensure growth is matched by the infrastructure and services it requires.
  • Advocate for fair and predictable property taxes that respect the cost of living and protect essential services.

Protecting one of Toronto's greatest public spaces on Lake Ontario.

I WILL

  • Protect the important environmental, social, cultural, and historical spaces on our waterfront and Toronto Island, such as Hanlan’s Point, Sunnyside Park, Sir Casimir Gzowski Park.
  • Oppose expansion that would fundamentally change our waterfront or reduce public access.
  • Improve transparency around noise, traffic, safety, and environmental impacts.

Safe & Strong Neighbourhoods

Building neighbourhoods where people of every age and ability feel safe, connected, and supported.

I SUPPORT

  • Real safety improvements around schools, parks, and busy streets
  • Evidence-based road safety improvements to pedestrian, cycling, transit, and road networks.
  • Community safety strategies that address homelessness, mental health, and addiction and connect people to the supports they need while keeping our community safe, accessible, and welcoming.

  • Advocate for safer school zones, crossings, and pedestrian routes.
  • Support evidence-based road safety improvements across our community.
  • Support a safe, practical, and connected cycling network across Toronto.

  • Work to keep streets, parks, transit, and commercial areas safe and welcoming.
  • Advocate for increased access to wrap-around supports for people struggling with mental health, addiction, and homelessness.
  • Demand clear responsibility and visible follow-through when neighbourhood concerns are raised.

Parks & public spaces

Protecting one of Toronto's greatest public spaces on Lake Ontario.

I WILL

  • Protect Ward 4's green spaces.
  • Advocate for clean washrooms, safe pathways, better lighting, and well-maintained playgrounds and recreation facilities.
  • Support tree care, ravine protection, and environmental stewardship.
  • Keep High Park safe, accessible, and welcoming for residents and visitors, while improving access for seniors, families, and people with disabilities.

A City That Works

Making City Hall accessible, responsive, and focused on the services residents rely on every day.

  • An accessible and responsive councillor's office that follows through.
  • Reliable and safe transit that people can depend on every day.
  • Reliable everyday services, including transit, waste collection, road and sidewalk maintenance, parks, and recreation.

PUBLIC Transit

Making transit safer and more reliable, so people can depend

I WILL

  • Advocate for dependable TTC service across Ward 4, including fare integration with UPX and TTC for non-airport journeys.
  • Press for clear and timely communication during delays, diversions, and construction.
  • Improve coordination among the TTC, city departments, utilities, and developers to reduce unnecessary disruption.
  • Increase visible TTC staff and special constables where needed most.
  • Expand mental health and crisis response partnerships to better support people in need.
  • Keep transit stations and vehicles clean and well-maintained.
  • Reduce delays on the busiest transit routes.
  • Use service data and resident feedback to identify routes where reliability, frequency, or safety needs improvement.

I WILL

  • Set clear service standards for acknowledging, tracking, and following up on residents' concerns.
  • Make it easier for residents to navigate 311, 211 and city services.
  • Provide accessible, easy-to-understand information and clear contacts for unresolved issues.

  • Report regularly on major ward projects, construction, and service performance.
  • Provide clear timelines, responsibilities, and next steps.
  • Explain delays and major city decisions in plain language.
  • Bring residents, community organizations, businesses, city staff, and other governments together to deliver results.

  • Work with city departments, utilities, the TTC, and developers and local businesses to better coordinate construction and reduce disruptions.
  • Protect access to homes, businesses, schools, and community spaces through better planning, communication, and coordination during construction.
  • Identify barriers residents face accessing city services and work with city staff to improve how those services are delivered.
