Nadia Guerrera is a passionate educator and community advocate dedicated to making a meaningful difference in Parkdale—High Park. She has led innovative initiatives that promote health equity, empower youth, and strengthen community well-being. Her decades of work reflect a deep commitment to education, health care, and creating opportunities for all.
Nadia is a passionate local educator and dedicated advocate in her community. With a Master of Business Administration and over 20 years experience in K-12 and post-secondary education, she has made significant contributions to our community and province.
After starting her teaching career at Parkdale Collegiate Institute, Nadia has since headed the Social Science Department at Chaminade College, and most recently served as Industry Partnership Officer for the school of Health Human and Justice Studies at Loyalist College. At the college her work focused on collaborating with health and Not-for-Profit partners to bring to life novel solutions in critical fields such as Nursing, Paramedicine, Mental Health and Social Services. Nadia also recently launched a centre for applied research in social innovation focused on health equity at Loyalist College.
She is also an innovator and fierce champion for democracy. As founder of Orwell Art, an initiative that teaches youth about democracy and civic engagement through the arts, she was also commissioned to write a curriculum on the Holodomor famine which is used to educate students about genocide and misinformation in classrooms across Canada.
As a tireless advocate in everything she undertakes, Nadia is a community leader focused on better health, education, and housing options for all. As the daughter of immigrant parents, Nadia knows how difficult it is to achieve an affordable life you work hard for.
With longstanding roots in the community, Nadia has lived and worked in the riding serving the community for 20 years on the frontlines of its future. She currently shares a home with her wife Lucy and loveable lab, Duke Ellington.
As the Orwell Art founder, Nadia works to lead youth in civic engagement through the arts. She is also the creator of the Holodomor curriculum to address misinformation, which is used in classrooms across Canada.
Nadia is a Board Member for a GTA Community Health Center, supporting primary care services for healthier communities. She is also an Industry Partnership Officer in Health and Human Justice Studies at Loyalist College.
Through membership roles on various Boards, Nadia has a clear mandate for action, education, and research. She is a published author, keynote speaker and accomplished leader ready to help build the Ontario we all deserve.
