About NADIA

Nadia is a passionate local educator and dedicated advocate in her community. With a Master of Business Administration and over 20 years experience in K-12 and post-secondary education, she has made significant contributions to our community and province.

After starting her teaching career at Parkdale Collegiate Institute, Nadia has since headed the Social Science Department at Chaminade College, and most recently served as Industry Partnership Officer for the school of Health Human and Justice Studies at Loyalist College. At the college her work focused on collaborating with health and Not-for-Profit partners to bring to life novel solutions in critical fields such as Nursing, Paramedicine, Mental Health and Social Services. Nadia also recently launched a centre for applied research in social innovation focused on health equity at Loyalist College.

She is also an innovator and fierce champion for democracy. As founder of Orwell Art, an initiative that teaches youth about democracy and civic engagement through the arts, she was also commissioned to write a curriculum on the Holodomor famine which is used to educate students about genocide and misinformation in classrooms across Canada.

As a tireless advocate in everything she undertakes, Nadia is a community leader focused on better health, education, and housing options for all. As the daughter of immigrant parents, Nadia knows how difficult it is to achieve an affordable life you work hard for.

With longstanding roots in the community, Nadia has lived and worked in the riding serving the community for 20 years on the frontlines of its future. She currently shares a home with her wife Lucy and loveable lab, Duke Ellington.
